Freedom of speech is understood to be fundamental in a democracy. The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that comprise the Bill of Rights.

The author of the Constitutional Rights Blog does not affiliate with any other organization or people on the internet or the world for that matter. I have been saying this since I first logged on to the internet. Just because I like organizations like the ACLU; does not mean I believe in everything they believe in or stand for. Just like in our great country when we vote; we will never believe in everything the candidate we vote for; believes in or stands for. That does not mean we should not vote.

I make typos allot. I do not get paid to do this. I do not have a editor or anyone working for me at all. Sometimes it may take me more than one day to finish a article.

In his Jan. 1 inaugural address, he stated: “I was elected as a democratic socialist, and I will govern as a democratic socialist.” He told a DSA Zoom call in 2021: The “end goal” should be “seizing the means of production.” Mamdani also said, “The abolition of private property … is preferable to what is going on right now.” These comments loudly echo Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels’ cornerstone collectivist text “The Communist Manifesto.”

DSA booster Hasan Piker misses the Soviet Union: “The fall of the USSR was one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th Century.”

After visiting China in November 2025, Piker said: “Mao Zedong is one of the great leaders of this world, OK? A man who changed the entire universe, the entire planet.” Never mind Mao’s killing 60 million of his subjects (three times Adolf Hitler’s body count), Piker announced, “I never would and never will” mock Chairman Mao. Indeed, Piker donned a full Mao jacket when he addressed the College Democrats Convention in Washington, D.C., last July 18.

DSA recently celebrated Cuban communist tyrant Fidel Castro. “DSA Commemorates 100 Years of Fidel,” it cheered on Aug. 13. “Fidel was an organizer, a fighter, and endures as a stalwart symbol of anti-imperialist struggle … ” The DSA ignored the struggle of the 1,314,100 emigres who escaped this workers’ paradise, the Migration Policy Institute estimates, many on rafts and innertubes.

“Workers Deserve More” is the DSA’s new platform, unveiled fittingly on July 14—Bastille Day. Adorned with raised fists, it brims with communist ideas.

“Imagine,” DSA urges, “a future without capitalism.”

“You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right,” DSA daydreams. “Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.”

“When we labor for our common good instead of private profit, we can all have a secure and dignified life,” DSA envisions. “Our enemies are not just individual bosses, but the entire global system of capital.”

DSA hopes to “draft a new constitution…create a democratic socialist republic” and build “a new society from the ground up.”

●“FREEDOM TO FLOURISH”—Create “a 32-hour work week with full pay and benefits, and a living minimum wage” and “cancel all student debt.”

●“HEALTHCARE FOR ALL”—“Guarantee universal healthcare at no cost to individuals, including complete access to reproductive and gender-affirming care.”

●“HOUSING FOR ALL”—“Housing is a human right. Build new, publicly owned social housing” and “establish universal rent control.”

●“END MASS INCARCERATION”—“Demilitarize police departments, disempower police unions, and redirect funding to public services as steps towards fully abolishing the police and prison system … ”

●“END THE U.S. WAR MACHINE”—“Defund the Department of War. End all foreign wars and close overseas military bases.”

●“FREE PALESTINE”—DSA wants “a free Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. End all military and economic aid to Israel.”

●“ABOLISH ICE”—End deportations and “grant amnesty for all immigrants regardless of status … ”

●“DEMOCRACY FOR ALL”—D.C. statehood + give Green Card holders the vote.

DSA honchos preach much more than communist theory. They want to torpedo America. Canary Mission unearthed, and M.A. Rothman posted, on-camera comments by several members of DSA’s National Political Committee. DSA’s website explains: The NPC “leads the implementation of DSA’s major political and organizational goals.”

DSA-NPC member Amy Wilhelm stated: “Our role ultimately is to facilitate our own empire’s failure.”

“We have a unique responsibility to act from the heart of empire, the belly of the beast,” NPC member Frances Gill pleaded. “The most important thing that we can do is take that empire down from within.”

“U.S. imperialism is not a thing that can be reformed away. It has to be overthrown through revolutionary struggle,” according to NPC’s Hazel Williams.

DSA’s candidates, manifesto, and top leaders confirm that it is a communist organization. They’re here. They’re clear. They’re coming for our country.

Billy Graham on communism: “Satan’s religion” (1954)

Billy Graham (1918-2018) was an American Baptist minister and probably the best-known evangelist preacher of the 20th century. Born and raised in rural North Carolina, Graham converted at age 16 before studying in Florida and Illinois. Ordained in 1939, he served as a pastor in several locations, earning a reputation for forceful and fiery oratory.

Graham started his own ministry in 1947 and embarked on a series of ‘crusades’, essentially sermons, preaching and consultations conducted before a mass audience. He held these ‘crusades’ in more than 180 countries, including Poland (1978), the Soviet Union (1982-84), Romania (1985) and China (1988). Graham was a vociferous and often provocative critic of communism who aligned himself with politicians of similar views, such as Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson.

In the following extract from the August 1954 edition of The American Mercury, Graham describes communism as “Satan’s religion” and a “doctrine of death and destruction”:

“The Communist revolution that was born in the hearts of Marx and Engels in the middle of the 19th century is not going to give up or retreat. No amount of words at the United Nations, or peace conferences in the Far East, is going to change the mind of Communism. It is here to stay. It is a battle to the death: either Communism must die, or Christianity must die…

Has it ever occurred to you that the Devil is a religious leader and millions are worshipping at his shrine today? … The name of this present-day religion is Communism… The Devil is their god, Marx their prophet, Lenin their saint and Malenkov their high priest. Denying their faith in all ideologies, except their religion of revolution, these diabolically-inspired men seek in devious and various ways to convert a peaceful world to their doctrine of death and destruction.

So fanatical and ruthless are these disciples of Lucifer that in thirty years they have slaughtered millions of innocent persons and stand prepared with poised weapons to kill millions more in an all-out effort to spread their doctrines to the ends of the earth…
